I used to complain about not having flea markets in Shanghai...but lately, almost every week, there are markets, fairs and lots of fun events where people can show their creativity and recycle their old possesions. Yesterday I went to the, already famous, Jianshan Market, and then to a flea market at the old Lolo Loves Vintage...it was packed of creative and stylish people...great atmosphere and lots of fun!

Es icreíble lo rápido que se mueven las cosas en esta ciudad...hace un año me quejaba de que en Shanghai no había mercadillos ni rastros ni nada y últimamente casi todas las semanas hay uno. Estas fotos las saqué ayer en el jardín de la antigua tienda de Lolo Loves Vintage. Estaba a rebosar de gente muy artística, estilosa y creativa de Shanghai. Me encontré con amigos, pasé un rato divertido y me compré un lacito de crochet...como tengo pocos accesorios...y de crochet, pues uno más para la colección!!

One week ago, when I had just landed in London I had the chance to spend a beautiful sunday at the Flower Market in Columbia Road...

La semana pasada, recién aterrizada en Londres, tuve la suerte de poder pasar un estupendo domingo en el mercado de Flores de Columbia Road...

The weather was so beautiful, it seemed that everybody was in street celebrating the spring arrival!

Hacía un tiempo estupendo,parecía que había una gran fiesta en la calles para celebrar la llegada de la primavera!

I loved the nearby shops and bars... people were spending their pennies in flowers, drinks and food in the street.

Me encantan los locales de la zona, el ambiente, el movimiento...

Another thing that I really loved was the live music everywhere...Me encantaron los improvisados conciertos que había por todas partes...

The best season in Shanghai is autum! The summer here is super hot and humind, but from september we have 2 to 3 months that are amazing...and when the sun shines its even better. Today was one of those  beautiful days. I went with Ariel and Ana to have a coffe in a terrace...we don´t know how long the season for terraces will last...

El otoño en Shanghai es una maravilla! La mejor estación de la ciudad. Después de pasar un verano axfisiante, a partir de septiembre el clima se vuelve muy agradable, y dura así hasta finales de noviembre...y luego llega el espantoso invierno. Hoy ha lucido el sol y la temperatura era ideal, quedé con Ariel y Ana para tomar un cafetín en las terrazas de Doghu Lu, hay que aprovechar porque no sabemos cuándo va a terminar la temporada terracera...

Then we went to LOLO LOVES VINTAGE, they were organizing a flea market and it was very fun!

De ahí nos fuimos a LOLO LOVES VINTAGE, mi segunda casa :)! Hoy organizaban un mercadillo en el jardín. Parece ser que alguien ha oído mis plegarias y ahora hay un mercadillo distinto cada fin de semana en la ciudad....happy!

La gente, como siempre, de lo más variopinta y original...

 The Jiashan market takes place every two saturdays. It´s an organic eco-friendly market where you can buy bio vegetables, homemade bread, cakes, cheese, tea...everything is so delicious! My friend Nina, that I knew via her blog and later we met at the CS fair, invited me to sell my things together with her, she was selling second had clothes and her beautiful pictures...

El Jiashan market es un mercado que se celebra cada dos sábados en Shanghai. Se vende fundamentalmente comida orgánica y productos eco-friendly. Mi amiga Nina, que conocí a través de su blog y coincidimos en la CS fair, me invitó a compartir su stand. Ella vendía ropa de segunda mano y sus fotos que son guapísimas... 

So I decided on thursday to participate...then on friday I made a collection of 15 necklesses...I love making jewelry again! I will post proper pictures soon...

Así que este jueves me animé a participar... y el viernes hice 15 collares para la ocasión...me encantó volver a hacer bisutería...qué buenos recuerdos! En breve postearé mejores fotos...no he tenido tiempo para retratarlos en condiciones!

Estoy encantada con esta faceta de vendedora ambulante que he vuelto a recuperar. Es una manera super entretenida de pasar el día y de conocer a gente. En esta ciudad casi todo el mundo tiene historias más o menos interesantes que les encanta contar y también oír las de los demás, así que nunca te aburres.

Además es una buena excusa para ponerme a fabricar cosas de forma independiente...larga vida a los flea markets en Shanghai!

I am so happy becoming a flea market seller. It´s a great way to spend the day, meeting people, listening to funny stories and a great excuse to produce my own stuff!
